The six strings of the guitar are named with 1~6 strings from the thinnest, the thinnest is 1 string, and the thickest is 6 strings. Its standard pitches are E (6 strings), A (5 strings), D (4 strings), G (3 strings), B (2 strings), E (1 string).

1 string: Empty string tone E (thinnest string), i.e. mi.

2 strings: empty string tone B, i.e. si, midrange.

3 strings: empty string tone G, that is, the so.

4 strings: empty string tone D, i.e. re, alto re.

5 strings: empty string tone A, that is, la, bass la.

6 strings: empty string tone E (the thickest string), i.e. mi of bass.
