A high, Arched and carved back for the guitar, which is considerably thicker and heavier than a conventional guitar. The back is made of Indian Rosewood or Java ebony, while the top is always made of Western Cedar or Spruce.
Lattice sound bracing systerm design
The top of Smallman guitars is braced using a “lattice” framework composed of balsa wood .By contrast, traditional classical guitars use struts made of cedar or spruce arranged in a “fan” shape.

This is everything that I was looking for in a classical guitar. The lattice style soundboard truly makes a difference in the volume of the guitar. I have tested it in so many ways. The harmonics, the ring of the soundboard, tapping the wood in various places of the guitar. The sound is really concentrated in the middle of the guitar. I would recommend this to a friend. Very happy with this guitar. I finally have a guitar that plays the music I love exactly as I hear it in my head.
Two weeks ago I got a Classical Smallman Guitar with Round Back SC-0985. She looks beautiful and sounds very brilliant. The high e-string I have replaced, I prefer namely a slightly softer sound on this string. I am very happy with this guitar.

I’ve been playing this guitar now for several weeks before posting any comment and I have to say it is a great classical guitar for the price. The materials and overall finish are excellent and has a wonderful full and quite loud voice. Very resonant and sensitive. I’m not an expert player but this guitar suits me perfectly. Well to Devon who was most helpful – I intend to buy more guitars from him. Highly recommended.

The SC098S model has a typical lattice sound signature which has a greater sound and I’m surprised to know that the actual classical guitar is much beautiful than the posted pictures. Thank you Angella for the assistance and delivering the item on time as expected.
